How to Clean Your Mr. Coffee
Every 90 brew cycles, you’ll want to do a deep clean of your Mr. Coffee. Depending on how often you make coffee, this could be once every month or two. If you have hard water or notice a buildup in your machine, this is especially important.

Materials
- Descaling solution or white vinegar
Instructions
Pour in the cleaning solution.
- Pour 4 cups of white vinegar or cleaning solution into your machine’s empty water reservoir.
Add a filter.
- Put an empty filter into the filter basket.
Turn the machine on.
- Let your Mr. Coffee brew into the carafe using the cleaning solution. Once it’s brewed, let the solution sit in the carafe for at least 30 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly.
- Dump out the solution and rinse your carafe thoroughly. Throw away the filter.
Add water and brew again.
- Pour a full pot of water into the reservoir and replace the carafe. Brew as normal. Repeat this step to ensure that the machine is thoroughly rinsed.
