AHA is a range of fruit-flavored sparkling water drinks with flavors including blackberry and lemon and raspberry and acai. As well as their standard sparkling waters, the company also produces a range of caffeinated sparkling waters.

There are three flavors: Fuji apple and white tea, mango and black tea, and citrus and green tea. Each of these flavors includes 30 milligrams (mg) of caffeine in a single, 355-milliliter can. This means that it has marginally less caffeine than a can of Coke, which contains 34 mg of the stimulant. Read on for more details on AHA sparkling water and its caffeine content.

AHA Sparkling Water Caffeine Content

Sparkling water is a popular choice of drink because it has a neutral flavor but offers the refreshing sparkle of carbonation. It’s generally combined with additional flavors to give it an extra something. AHA produces seven non-caffeinated spring water drinks in the following flavors:

  • Blackberry + Lemon
  • Pineapple + Passionfruit
  • Raspberry + Acai
  • Lime + Watermelon
  • Blueberry + Pomegranate
  • Orange + Grapefruit
  • Peach + Honey

These are non-caffeinated drinks, so they do not contain any caffeine.

AHA also produces a selection of lightly caffeinated sparkling water drinks in the following flavors:

  • Fuji + Apple
  • Mango + Black Tea
  • Citrus + Green Tea

All the caffeinated flavors come in 355 ml cans, and they all contain the same 30 mg of caffeine per can.

Other Caffeinated Sparkling Waters

Caffeinated sparkling water may sound like an unusual drink, but AHA isn’t the only company that produces it. And while AHA caffeinated drinks are considered to be mildly caffeinated, others have higher caffeine content.

If you’re looking for a refreshing sparkling water with a mild caffeine kick, AHA is a good choice, but if you want more caffeine, then a drink like Perrier Energize delivers considerably more caffeine per fluid ounce.

Brand Total Caffeine (mg) Caffeine per Fluid Ounce
Perrier Energize (8.46 fl oz) 99 11.7
GURU Sparkling Energy Water (12 fl oz) 100 8.3
AHA Sparkling Water (12 fl oz) 30 2.5
VitaminWater Energy (20 fl oz) 50 2.5

Compared to Sodas

Although sparkling water isn’t necessarily a soda, it is a sparkling non-alcoholic drink, so it shares a lot of the same properties. Surprisingly, a lot of sodas that we drink contain caffeine, and it can come as a surprise to learn that Coke and Dr. Pepper both contain light to medium amounts of caffeine.

The caffeine in AHA Sparkling Water is only a little less than is found in regular Coke. Dr. Pepper offers a bit more caffeine than both of these, but if you’re looking for something that is caffeine-free, a sparkling citrus drink like Fanta might be your best option.

Brand Total Caffeine (mg) Caffeine per Fluid Ounce
Coke (12 fl oz) 34 2.83
Dr. Pepper (12 fl oz) 41 3.41
Fanta (12 fl oz) 0 0
AHA Sparkling Water (12 fl oz) 30 2.5

Conclusion

AHA combines a fruit flavor and a tea flavor to create its sparkling water drinks. In the case of the mildly caffeinated options, it also adds a modest caffeine kick. It doesn’t provide the kind of caffeinated boost you get from energy drinks or coffee drinks, but if you want something to quench the thirst and give you a slight stimulant kick, it could be a good option for you.

The caffeinated sparkling water comes in three different flavors, and AHA is one of the more widely available caffeinated sparkling drinks available, so it should be easier to get hold of compared to other caffeinated waters.
