Note: As of 2012, Rage Inferno energy drinks are discontinued. Back in the day, you could head to the convenience store and see tons of energy drinks on the shelf. One energy drink with a unique appearance was Rage Inferno. It typically came in a fire extinguisher-shaped bottle, and it was packed full of caffeine. It might have looked a little cheesy, but it was a great marketing ploy. So, how much caffeine did these 24-ounce drinks contain? A whopping 375 mg, which is just under the Mayo Clinic’s daily maximum intake recommendation.1 But what happened to these energy drinks, can you still get them, and what other drinks offer similar caffeine content? Do Rage Inferno Energy Drinks Still Exist?
No. While Rage Inferno was a popular energy drink for a brief 2-year stint, in 2012, it stopped being manufactured. While there’s no official reason that Rage Inferno stopped producing energy drinks, it’s speculated that it had to do with the heavy caffeine content. The United States government started to crack down on the caffeine content in various energy drinks around 2012, and subsequently, many different energy drinks fell off the market. So, if you’re looking for a Rage Inferno Energy drink today, it’s extremely unlikely that you’ll find one, and if you do, it’s going to be at least 10 years old.
